Kalsoy Island Classic | Northern Isles

A whole day’s guided Small Group Tour (1-18 passengers) visiting the islands of Eysturoy, Borðoy, Kalsoy, and Viðoy. Relax while the local tour guide points out all the most beautiful views along the tour and the many Photostops en route.

Sail on a small ferry (Tickets are included) to the beautiful Kalsoy island, where we will visit Trøllanes, Mikladalur, Húsar, and Syðradalur.

In Trøllanes you can take the OPTIONAL EXTRA guided hike to Kallur Lighthouse and the famous James Bond Memorial.
Here you can also visit the tiny kiosk and visit the OPTIONAL VIP Viewpoint of the Puffins and other sea birds nesting nearby.
Those doing the hike will have the OPTION to visit the VIP Viewpoint of the Puffins near the Arghús Cabin on their return.

There is also the OPTIONAL EXTRA to stay in the village rather than do the hike and relax in the Arghús Cabin, right in the local Puffin colony. Enjoy a relaxing moment with Coffee and waffles (included in the OPTIONAL price) while enjoying the Puffins right outside the window.

From Trøllanes you will visit the gorgeous Djúpadalur secret valley before coming to Mikladalur.

The next stop, Mikladalur, is the home of the famous Seal Woman statue. Join us at the wonderful Café Edge right above the Seal Woman for your complimentary lunch.

They will be serving you the choice of either
-Braised Toast with Salmon, Mustard Caviar and Dild,
-Eðge Soup (Chicken or Fish) with Vegetables and homebaked Bread or
-Faroese Ryebread with Faroese Toppings.
(Water and/or Soda are included in the price. Beer or Wine can be purchased at the Café.)

On the way back to the Ferry you will stop in Syðradalur which offers a beautiful Memorial to locals who have died at sea and a beautiful short walk down through the village to the Ferry.

After arriving back in Klaksvík you will be driven further north to the island of Viðoy and the most northern village in the Faroes, Viðareiði. There you will get to see many sights and take many pictures of the beautiful landscape and surrounding islands.

After Viðareiði you will be taken back to Tórshavn and dropped off at your hotel or other designated location.

DISCLAIMER: The Puffins are a true Seabird and only come on land during mating season, therefore you will only have a good chance to see Puffins between early May and mid-August.
