Early morning we depart from T\u00f3rshavn on the ferry M\/F Smyril. This is the largest inland ferry in the Faroes. The sailing time is two hours to the southernmost island of Su\u00f0uroy.<\/p>\n
The journey sails past the islands of Sandoy, St\u00f3ri D\u00edmun (with two families living on it), and the uninhabited L\u00edtli D\u00edmun.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival in Su\u00f0uroy, we start by driving to the village of Tv\u00f8royri. After departing Tv\u00f8royri we drive to the village of Hvalba. This is one of the most beautiful villages in the Faroe Islands. From there the scenic route takes us to the Northernmost village on Su\u00f0uroy named Sandv\u00edk.<\/p>\n
After spending some time in Sandv\u00edk we drive south to a village called F\u00e1mjin. The original Faroese flag is located inside the old Church there.<\/p>\n
The journey goes all the way to the Southernmost village of Sumba. Along the way, we will pass the villages of V\u00e1gur and Lopra.<\/p>\n
After exploring the village for a while we take another route back from Sumba. This drive takes us past stunning cliffs and the scenic and historic villages of Porkeri and Hov.<\/p>\n
After this, we head back to the ferry Smyril and the sail back to T\u00f3rshavn (Note: Some waiting time is to be expected for the ferry!)<\/p>\n
Onboard the return trip with the Ferry, you will be offered a warm meal in the cafeteria.<\/p>\n
