Pick-ups are at your hotel or other designated area in Tórshavn. Leaving Tórshavn vi the old Mountain Road Oyggjarvegur.

The tour starts with a 45-minute drive to Sørvágur. In Sørvág we will have the chance to see the Free-Standing Rock named Trøllkonufingur (The Trollwife’s Finger), a beautiful Protestant Church from 1917 and the staute of the Huldukvinna (Elven woman) and hear stories about all of them.

From there you will drive through the only tunnel on the island to the distant and previously very isolated village of Gásadalur. Here we will take a walk to the most photographed waterfall in the Faroes, Múlafossur. From here there is often a very good view of the Westernmost island Mykines. There are good opportunities to see many seabirds here as well, including the very photgenic Puffins.

Heading back you will pass the village Bøur, often referred to as the village in the Faroe Islands with the best view. We will take a stroll through the picturesque village and hear some history. From Bøur you will see the free-standing rocks named Dranganir and the amazing islet of Tindhólmur.

From Bøur we will drive past the Airport and Leitisvatn, the largest freshwater lake on the islands.

As an optional extra, you will be able to book the hike along Leitisvatn out to the amazing promentory Trælanípan (Slaves Peak). This hike will take you 2 hours plus time for photos and offers some truly stunning vistas and scenery, including the famous “Waterfall by the Lake above the Ocean”.

Those who opt out of the hike will be taken back to Tórshavn and dropped of at your hotels or other drop-off points.

The bus will then return to pick up the hikers and drive them back home.
